Mysore: ISRO is gearing up to launch a mission to Mars even prior to receiving the much awaited go-ahead from the government. The engineering models of two of the payloads are ready, and tests are in full progress.  Rajmal Jain of the Ahmedabad-based Physical Research Laboratory, an affiliate of ISRO, told that the mechanical structure of a payload known as the Plasma and Current Pace Experiment that will explore the Martian atmosphere weighing 2.99 grams was ready and had undergone vibration and other tests at the Space Application Centre in Ahmedabad.
