Mars Orbiter is 11m km Away: SIRE

ISRO announced that the Mars Orbiter had reached a distance of 11.04 million kilometers from earth. As a result signals sent from the ground station in Bangalore were taking almost 36.8 seconds to reach the orbiter. As part of India’s first foray into interplanetary space, the Orbiter is expected to reach Mars in September this year.
