LCA Tejas to make its debut in IAF exercise

Though the induction of indigenous Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas into the Indian Air Force is years away, the plane is all set to make its debut in an exercise, which will be witnessed by President Mr Pranab Mukherjee, in Jaisalmer in February. “Over the next two months, the IAF will conduct two major exercises to showcase its fire demonstration and evaluating integration of its new platform in the war-fighting doctrine. The timely integration of new inductions with the existing legacy systems, while ensuring a high combat potential and addressing all aerospace safety concerns will be our key operational challenges.
