It was the unusual charm of this modest youngster that attracted all as he walked on to the stage to accept the gold medal from former President A P J Abdul Kalam for top honors in the BTech aerospace engineering degree from Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST),here. Aaditya N Chaphalkar was the recipient of the Abdul Kalam prize for his excellent academic performance in master’s programme in aerospace engineering at the US-based California Institute of Technology (Caltech) last year.
