Rustom2 unmanned combat vehicle taxiing by month end

Rustom‐2, a medium altitude long endurance unmanned combat air vehicle (UCAV) being developed for the armed forces, is gearing up for its first flight scheduled in the third quarter of this year. DRDO’s Bangalore‐based lab, Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE), has developed the aircraft unlike any other UAV in the ranks of our forces, with a wingspan of more than 20m and an endurance of 24‐30 hours. Speaking to the TOI, ADE director Dr P Srikumar said:
